Plastic Paradiso

 Plastic Paradiso

‘There once was a wild windswept place, near nowhere and close to forgotten that was filled with the things no one wanted’ The Tin Forest by Helen Ward

Inspired by Helen Ward's book 'The Tin Forest’-  Plastic Paradiso is a brand-new dance show by Choreographer and Performer Claire Benson. Through puppetry and dance, Claire reimagines a place entirely made of plastic, and how friendship and nature can reclaim what was a barren world...

A note from Claire - I'm absolutely delighted to have been chosen for this PDSW commission. I have been imagining this piece of work in my head for many years and the process of bringing this story to life and making it exist in the real world has been completely thrilling! The heart of the story focuses on our plastic pollution crisis. I am passionate about making a show that will capture young imaginations and make a positive impact. I hope that people will really try and start to see how small changes can help make a difference.
